Bileipada, 23rd March 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas distributed certificates among students of Sewing Training School today. Chief guest of the occasion, Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN) presented certificates to students after successful completion of the training program at VSN Sewing School. Around 10 ladies from surrounding villages received the qualifying certificates after completion of their 6 month course. The top scorers were adequately rewarded during the occasion.
Karansahi, 21st March 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas organized an awareness program on mother & child in the village of Karansahi under Joda Block. Dr Arabinda Panda took a session organized at the Anganwadi Centre. Around 44 ladies and children attended the session. Volunteers from Vidya Shakti Niyas joined the program which continued from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Bileipada, 17th November 2018. Vidya Shakti Niyas organized an Inter Primary School Drawing Competition to encourage overall development of young children of nearby schools. A total of 34 students from 10 schools from the vicinity participated in the event. The students of Residential Bridge Course Centre, Bileipada also participated in the compeition. The winning entries were rewarded with attractive prizes by the Jury.
Kalinganagar, 21st December 2018. The students of Sewing Training made a field visit to Navjeevan Sewing Centre, Kalinganagar as a part of their training module. They had first-hand exposure to professional cutting & stitching techniques during their visit. The students learnt about the different ways their newfound skills would economically benefit them in times to come.
Bileipada, 16th January 2019. The annual picnic of Shishu Prem Nursery School was organized at Tata Sponge township picnic spot. Around 160 children attended the event and had a great time playing games, singing, dancing & feasting. Their excitement exceeded their stay in the picnic spots.
Bileipada, 4th February 2019. A one-day Road Safety Training Programme was organized at the VSN Training Hall, for the students of the Driving Training school. Mr TM Dandapat took the 1 hour training session elaborating on road safety rules and importance of driving safely.
Bileipada, 20th November 2018. Students from near by schools came to participate in Fancy Dress Compeition organized at the VSN Training Hall. The students presented their act in front of judges. The winners were rewarded with attractive prizes.
Bileipada, 10th February 2019. Saraswati puja was celebrated with great fevour in the Shishu Prem Nursery School premises. All the teachers, staff, volunteers & parents gathered to take the blessing of Goddess Saraswati.
Basudevpur, 26th November 2018. In its efforts to promote rural education with special focus on village girl students, Vidya Shakti Niyas distributed exam aid literature (test papers) at Basudevpur Govt Girls’ High School. Around 42 girls from class X received complete test papers sets which would help them better prepare for their matriculation exams.
