Promoting Culture

Cultural programs were patronized by VSN at Lahanda Munda Sahi Primary School, Sishu Prem Nursery School, Adyasha Music School, Amrapalli Dance School, VSN Sewing and Driving school on Teacher’s day. The children offered their talent and skills as tribute to their teachers whom they acknowledge as their Guides and Mentors. VSN recognized all the teachers with token of appreciation for their sincere and devoted commitment to children.

Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary, VSN was invited to share her knowledge as the chief speaker in the Annual Functions of Saraswati Sishu Mandir School, Bileipada and Govt Girls’ High School, Basudevpur. The students benefited greatly from the varied accounts of philanthropic activities conducted over the years by the charitable organization.

Supporting Girl Child

It was a moment of pride for Vidya Shakti extending education support to Miss Chandrika Hembram of Lahanda & Miss Chandrika Munda of Putugaon villages, recently. The girls show great promise to develop into skilled professionals after their technical education.

A Moment of Pride

Master Jagmohan Munda made his family, school, community and VSN proud by winning a scholarship from the Odisha Govt. He was recognized for this achievement by VSN and also by Chhatra Pragati Yuvak Sangha (CPYS) of Bileipada.

Health Awareness

Vidya Shakti Niyas has been conducting health awareness programs for the rural community. Some conducted recently are;

  • A Quiz on Mother, Child Care and Family Planning for the ladies of Panchananpur & Anseikala villages.
  • Preventive Measures and Cure of Sun Stroke attended by women from Panchananpur and Anseikala.
  • How to Prepare ORS at Home amongst the ladies of Panchananpur and Anseikala.
  • A Quiz on Home Safety, participated by the ladies from Lahanda and Mutuda villages.

The above programs were highly successful which is evident in the number of people turning out and participating in the above events.

Agarbatti Making

As a part of several ongoing programs focused on local community, training on Incense Sticks (Agarbatti) making was imparted to 14 members of Ratneswari SHG of Sanbarbil village, recently. Mr Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, an expert in Agarbatti making conducted the program at the village community center. It is encouraging to see the village ladies already taking up Incense Sticks making. In addition, VSN is also extending its support by helping them market their products.

Sabuja Swapna

Rice crop & vegetable farming training was imparted to 45 farmers of Panchananpur village recently. Mr J Sethy, an authority on the subject shared his knowledge among the villagers during the session. VSN distributed 45 bags of rice seeds & hybrid vegetable seeds among farmers during the session.
