Rural sports meet-2020

To inculcate the sporting instinct and promote rural sports in the villages, on 5th February’20 VSN conducted rural sports in Panchananpur village where about 180 women participated. The event gives a platform to the village women to come out of their daily chores and show case their inner talent. Similar event was conducted on 6th February’20 for 120 men who participated in the different games .VSN volunteers were active enough to facilitate smooth completion of these events one after the other. At the end, winners were awarded with prizes.

Adyasha talents enchant audiences

The gifted students of Adyasha music school presented a beautiful welcome song during inaugural ceremony of a Seminar on Human Trafficking on 16th April 2016 at the Employee Recreation Club. Adyasha students performed the song as a special request from the organizers. Continue

VSN Annual Awards 2016

6th April 2016, Bileipada. Vidya Shakti Niyas proudly organized its Annual Award Ceremony 2016 at the Employee Recreation Club to honour the volunteers contributing in various philanthropic work throughout the year.

The program was inaugurated by Mr DP Deshpande, Managing Director (Tata Sponge) along with Mrs Madhavi Deshpande, Chairperson (VSN), Mr P Chattopadhyay, COO (Tata Sponge), Mr SK Mishra, CFO (Tata Sponge) and other dignitaries. Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustee (VSN) presented the welcome speech while Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN) presented the Activity Report for 2015-16. She elaborated on various activities conducted by VSN under education, health, income generation, agriculture, women empowerment, employability etc. Mrs Madhavi Deshpande explained about future prospects of Vidya Shakti Niyas in the year 2016-17. In his address, Mr DP Deshpande appreciated the humanitarian work of Vidya Shakti volunteers and congratulated them for their contribution in nation building.

The dignitaries presented various awards to Vidya Shakti volunteers during the ceremony. The guests and audience in the jam packed auditorium were treated with a multicolored cultural presentation by young talents of Amrapalli Dance School, Adyasha Music School, Shishu Prem Nursery School, Basudevpur Govt Girls’ High School, Bileipada Saraswati Shishu Mandir School. To top it all, a captivating Adibasi Dance presentation by Panchananpur villagers won the crowd. Coordinated by Mrs Jolly Pattnaik & Mrs Snigdha Tripathy, both VSN Trustees, the program was highly praised by the audience and guests alike.

Promoting Culture

Cultural programs were patronized by VSN at Lahanda Munda Sahi Primary School, Sishu Prem Nursery School, Adyasha Music School, Amrapalli Dance School, VSN Sewing and Driving school on Teacher’s day. The children offered their talent and skills as tribute to their teachers whom they acknowledge as their Guides and Mentors. VSN recognized all the teachers with token of appreciation for their sincere and devoted commitment to children.

Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary, VSN was invited to share her knowledge as the chief speaker in the Annual Functions of Saraswati Sishu Mandir School, Bileipada and Govt Girls’ High School, Basudevpur. The students benefited greatly from the varied accounts of philanthropic activities conducted over the years by the charitable organization.
