Working towards women empowerment through innovative income-generating initiatives, Vidya Shakti recently introduced Beautician Training school as “Sringar Beauty Center” for the rural women. The program will develop contemporary skills of enrolled students and in due course, provide them the opportunity to be self-employed. On 2nd April 2019, Mrs Chitrika Pattnaik, Chairperson (VSN) along with Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustee (VSN) inaugurated the program at the beauty parlor set up for the purpose. Around 6 dalit & tribal students passed out in the first batch have already started their own beauty parlors in nearby villages and are able to support their families.
