24th Decembeer’22, Bileipada PRECHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS IN SPNS

The chairperson Mrs Jaya Anupam encouraged by joining the Pre- chrismas celebrations in SPNS premises.  The Pre-Christmas celebrations in a SPNS  school  can be a fun and exciting time for both the children and the teachers but this year took a special turn due the presence of our dignitary VSN CHAIRPERSON Mrs. Jaya Anupam. It provides an opportunity to create a festive atmosphere, engage in various activities, and teach children about the spirit of Christmas.  The teachers and children created handmade decorations like paper snowflakes, garlands, or Christmas tree ornaments. . Fun activities with songs & dances were conducted. A Lovable Santa distributed gifts and candies among the overjoyed little kids. The little children, teachers & guests joined the festivities. The Christmas cake was cut by the chairperson and shared among all present. Mrs Saroj Manchanda, VSN secretary along with the other trustees, executive coordinator  all teachers & staff were present during the occasion.

Stars of the year-SPNS

“Stars of the year-2019”, a reward and recognition function has been arranged by Sishu Prem Nursery school (SPNS) inside the school campus on 28th Feb 2020. Like every year, SPNS rewarded the meritorious students who have come up with par excellence both in studies and extra-curricular activities like sports, music & dance and other competitions during the academic year 2019-20. Out of 204 students, 70 were felicitated in overall development and 72 were awarded in sports. Parents seems to be happy and had high praise for the efforts of teachers and VSN as well.

Inter Anganwadi competitions

Education is the pillar of success. VSN has been instrumental in building the foundation block by adopting Anganwadis of its vicinity. VSN used to conduct inter-anganwadi competitions to boost the motivations of Anganwadi Workers, Helpers and Parents which is primarily based on certain parameters namely Arunima course curriculum (W & CD, GoO), health & hygiene, overall development of students, activeness of Anganwadi teachers etc. In the whole month of Nov and Dec, VSN volunteers personally visited 29 Anganwadis and facilitated various competitions. Such multiple competitive events pose challenges to each center to come out as a best performer. On 20th February, all the 29 Anganwadi workers were invited and rewarded at VSN Training Hall by Rosalie Mishra, VSN Secretary in presence of other Trustees and Volunteers. Besides the first three best overall performer, there were many categories like best Anganwadi worker, best cleanliness award etc.

Study tour program for RBC inmates

Vidya Shakti Niyas organized a study tour program for the inmates of Residential Bridge Course  (RBC) center on 19th Feb’ 20. Around 90 students along with 3 teachers guided these under privileged residents who rarely get chances to be exposed to outdoor trips. Visit to Jeet fly Ash brick unit was a unique experience for these students. Mr. J.P. Mishra, VSN Administrator and the staffs of JFAP narrated the entire process of making fly ash bricks and how the waste is being utilized for generating wealth for the society. With great enthusiasm and interest, the students came to know many practical aspects of brick making. Children also enjoyed fun filled games followed by lunch. VSN Trustees thanked the Educational volunteers for their wholehearted support.

Annual Sports organized in VSN adopted Schools

Sports is a way of life. It teaches us how to stay fit, strong, stout and healthy. Through various sporting activities one can tests his/her physical abilities. Like every year, VSN organized Annual sports in its adopted schools to promote joyful learning under Education basket. Around 363 students from 3 different schools, teachers, parents actively participated in the event. VSN volunteers organized numerous events in respective school premises. Students were actively participated in all the games with great enthusiasm. They compete among themselves and showed their talent. At the end prizes were distributed to the winners and consolation prizes were given to all for encouraging participation. Such an initiative of VSN has highly been appreciated by school management committee and villagers.

Pre Christmas Celebrations at Shishu Prem Nursery School

Bileipada, 23rd December’19.  Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas tiny tots of SPNS celebrated the festival with enthusiasm on 23rd December’19. The school was beautifully decorated and everybody was dressed in red and white “Santa’s favorite colors”.  The students performed a small skit and danced beautifully to wish their teachers and classmates. VSN Administrator Mr. J.P.Mishra, the chief guest of the function admired the program and performance and students and gave the prizes to the winners for the competitions which were held in the school earlier. To inculcate the spirit of sharing the students were distributed with a small Christmas gift. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.

Donation to Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Bileipada.

Bileipada, 13th December’19. 

Vidya Shakti Niyas has been encouraging education in the rural community with several scholarships & educational aids, especially for the unprivileged section of the society. As a part of its education initiative, recently VSN donated Almirah(steel safe) and Plastic chairs to Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Bileipada on 13th of December’19 to support the needs of the school under Educational Aid. VSN secretary Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Educational volunteers and staff of VSN were also present there.

INTER MIDDLE SCHOOL – SPEECH COMPETITION

Bileipada, 21st  November.  Speech is an essential opportunity to be provided to all students to develop their skills in research, critical thinking organization, persuasion and communication. VSN organized a Inter middle school speech competition for the classes of 6th, 7th and 8th on 21st November. 41 contestants from 15 different schools of the periphery villages took active participation this event. The contestants articulated many interesting points. The judges for this event were Mr. Taru Palei from CSR, Mrs. Chitra Mishra & Mrs. Savitri Maharana from SPNS. The secretary of VSN Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Trustees Mrs. Nibedita Mishra and Mr. Satyanarayan Nanda, Educational volunteers, Executive Ccoordinator Rajeswari Nagrajan and the staff of VSN actively participated and encouraged the students to perform well and express their talent.  The prizes were distributed for the winners at the end of the program.

Children’s day in SPNS

Bileipada, 14th November’19.  Children’s Day was celebrated with a blissful fancy dress competition for the tiny tots of SPNS. 120 children participated in this competition. Ace the fancy dress competition with impactful attires that carry a message for the audience.  Prizes and Sweets were distributed to the children to cherish the moments of children’s day. The trustees, volunteers, teachers of VSN spent their valuable time with tiny tots to bless and encourage them.

School Boundary Wall Inaugurated

It was a special occasion for Vidya Shakti Niyas when Mrs Ruchi Narendran visited the charitable organization on 17th May 2016. Mrs Narendran was joined by Mrs Deshpande, Mrs Patnaik along with Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), several volunteers and officials of CSR department, on a visit to the adopted village of Panchananpur.

Mrs Narendran was pleased to see the festive spirit of the village as they welcomed their special guest with traditional music & dance, in native attire and custom. Mrs Narendran inaugurated the newly constructed boundary wall of Panchananpur UP High School, a center of education for nearby children. She witnessed a rural medical camp nearby, conducted regularly as a part of VSN health initiative for the rural poor. The guests planted banana saplings in a cultivation plot, along with villagers. Vidya Shakti Niyas distributed water filters to the villagers during the occasion. Mrs Narendran also visited a new rice flake machine, installed by Maa Mangala Self Help Group, with assistance from VSN.

Mrs Narendran spent quite some time at the village observing various initiatives by Vidya Shakti Niyas. She appreciated the efforts put in by the volunteers in the journey to make Panchananpur a ‘model village’ in the state.
