By Providing Rice Flake Powder And Soap-Oils In Schools And Anganwadis Vsn Has Been Always Trying For The Improvement Of Nutritional Level, Hygiene Level, Attendance Level Among The Rural Students Of Five Panchyats. In The Month Of June Vsn Distributed Above Items In Below Anganwadi Centers. In The Month Of June Vsn Distributed Soaps & Oils To 345 No Of Students (st 303, sc 7, obc 35) In Our Thirteen Anganwadi Centers. Those are Mutuda Munda Sahi Anganwadi, Lahanda Road Sahi, Kolha Hundula Kolha Sahi, Rupa Sahi, Balita Munda Sahi, Bileipada, Kaliabeda, Dandabutu, Panchananpur, Lahanda Munda Sahi, Karansahi Mini, Karan sahi, Kitabeda Anganwadi Centers.

Visit to Vermicompost Project


Ramachandrapur, 28th May 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas volunteers & staff made a site visit to Ramchandrapur Vermi Compost project to assess the progress on the developments. Mr. Rabi Narayan Sahu, an expert on vermicompost expressed satisfaction on the development of the project & declared the material suitable for use.

Mushroom Training Program


Bileipada, 18th May 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas organized a Mushroom Training Program in its training hall with an objective to empower rural women through SHGs. Around 40 women were imparted with theoretical and practical training on mushroom cultivation. Mr. Japan Sethi, an expert on the subject, conducted the session. Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs. Nibedita Mishra, Trustee, Mrs. Sujata Swain, other VSN staff & volunteers attended the program which encouraged the rural ladies towards new livelihood opportunities.

Thanks Giving Program


Bileipada 3rd May 2019. VSN has organized a thanks giving event for our dedicated volunteers for achieving the success in AA assessment. VSN Secretary Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, VSN Administrator Mr. Jagadish Prasad Mishra, Trustee cum Treasurer Mr. Mahesh Rathi, Trustee cum Legal Mr. Abinash Nayak, Trustee Mrs. Nibedita Mishra and Trustee Mrs. Sujata Swain were present to congratulate the volunteers for being one of the reason behind our success and also encouraged them to keep up the energy for this financial year.

Adult Literacy Program


Bileipada 6th May 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas has started an adult literacy program for contractual employees engaged in Tata Sponge township. In the first batch, around 25 no of people attended the class. Mr Ashok Dalei from Bileipada has taken the responsibility of teaching the adults. During the opening session, Mr Jagadish Prasad Mishra, Administrator (VSN) welcomed students and encouraged them to take advantage of the program while keeping a balance in work-life.

Rice Flake Powder Distribution


Panchananpur 9th May 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas distributed rice flake powder for pregnant ladies and children below 2 years in the adopted village of Panchananpur. The weight of pregnant ladies and babies were monitored and medical advice was provided.

Sunstroke Awareness


Ramchandrapur, 10th May 2019. With an objective to raise awareness on sun stroke among the villagers, Vidya Shakti Niyas organized a program in Panchananpur. Dr Arabinda Panda conducted the session on the cause, effect & prevention of sunstroke. A quiz session was conducted after the session with prizes for correct answers. Around 62 villagers actively participated in the awareness program.

Health & Hygiene Awareness


Panchananpur, 9th May 2019. To create health and hygiene awareness among the young children, Vidya Shakti Niyas distributed bath soap, washing soap and coconut oil among the Anganwadi students with the objective to prevent the spread of diseases. VSN staff & volunteers presented the hygiene kits to the 47 schedule tribe category students of the village.

Rural Medical Camp at Bhagalpur


Bhagalpur, 26th April 2019 : Vidya Shakti Niyas organized a rural medical camp in the village of Bhagalpur to improve the health conditions of the weaker section. Around 73 schedule cast category members benefited from this camp. VSN provided proper medical advice and free medicines to the poor inhabitants under guidance of Dr Arabinda Panda and technician Mr Subham Sahoo. VSN staff & volunteers were also present to make the program successful.
