Teachers Day Celebrations at RBC by Vidya Shakti Niyas

5th September’19, Bileipada. VSN celebrated TEACHERS DAY in Residential Bridge course centre with the students and teachers.  The boys of RBC gave their best performances to their teachers.   VSN honoured the dedicated teachers and support staff. Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Secretary VSN, along with the other trustees, VSN Volunteers, VSN Staff & guests were present during the occasion.

Adolescents Health Education for Girls

11th September’19, Bileipada. VSN conducted an Adolescence Education Programme at VSN training hall.  The objective of the AEP is to provide young people with accurate, age appropriate and culturally relevant information; promote healthy attitudes and develop skills to enable them to respond to real-life situations effectively.  Around 50 girl students from nearby schools participated in this program. The faculty Dr Bhavana Gupta explicated the students. The VSN Secretary Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Mrs.  Ratna Chattopadhyay, the trustees, Volunteers VSN staff and the teachers also took part and witnessed the program.

Child Abuse Awareness Program for Primary School Children

14th September’19, Bileipada. “EDUCATION IS THE KEY IN PREVENTING CHILD ABUSE.  We believe that every child has a right to safe childhood free of violence.” A child abuse program for Primary school children was conducted in VSN training hall for schools in the surrounding village Panchayats.  Nearly 7 schools participated in this program.   58 girls from seven schools took part in this session. The Secretary of VSN Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, the trustee of VSN, the teachers of Shishu Prem School, VSN volunteers and staff were present in this session.

Inter Primary School Fancy Dress Competition

On 17th august ’19, VSN organized an Inter primary school fancy dress competition for the students of rural communities at VSN Training Hall. Students from nearby schools of 5 Gram Panchayats participated in the event. Out of 30 students there were 13 boys and 17girls.Children had come up with a beautiful getup to portrait their theme. Guests present during the occasion were Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik, Chairperson (VSN), Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustees (VSN), Mrs Nibedita Mishra, Trustees (VSN) ,Mrs Sujata Swain, Trustees (VSN ),several volunteers & other guests. At the end winners were rewarded followed by lunch.

Inter High School Folk Dance Competition

On 21th august ’19, VSN organized an inter high school folk dance competition for periphery students. Around 28 students from nearby schools participated in this event. They beautifully performed varieties of folk dance in group. Guests present during the occasion encouraged the students and gave feedback on their performances. At the end winners were rewarded. The program ended with a happy lunch.

Inter ME School Storytelling Competition

On 22th August ’19, VSN organized an Inter ME school story telling competition for the students of rural communities. 29 Students from 10 schools Participated in this program. Very confidently these children presented the moral stories in front of the audience. Guests present during the occasion were Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik, Chairperson (VSN), Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN) , Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustees (VSN), Mrs Sujata Swain, Trustees (VSN), Mr JP Mishra, Administrator (VSN), Mr Satya Narayan Nanda, Trustees (VSN) ,  several volunteers & other guests. At the end winners were rewarded. Other participants were  asked to come prepared next time.

Independence Day Celebrations

On 15th August ’19 – Shishu prem nursery school celebrated 73rd Independence day in school premises. Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik, Chairperson (VSN) along with Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN),Mr. JP Mishra, Administrator(VSN), Mrs Sujata Swain, Trustees (VSN) hoisted the tri color flag. Chairperson addressed the gatherings and briefed the importance of Independence day to the children. Mrs Chitra Mishra, Head Mistress of school also addressed the students and parents and expounded the importance of Independence day. Students of SPNS presented patriotic songs and speech on this occasion. Children were happy to receive chocolates and sweets.

Chairperson’s visit to Vermicompost Project

On 29th August ’19, Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik , Chairperson (VSN) along with Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), and Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustees (VSN)  visited Ramchandrapur vermi compost project and interacted with the Maa Ambika SHG members. Chairperson discussed with the SHG members on sales and marketing of vermi compost to get a good return. She motivated the women folk for making the project as their additional income source..

Mrs Ruchi Narendran Visit

15th July 2019. A special meeting was arranged for Mrs Ruchi Narendran in VSN training hall. VSN Chairperson Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik along with with all Trustees gave a hearty welcome to Mrs. Narendran, who also visited Abhiyan driving center & gave her valuable suggestions regarding the overall development of VSN. Several volunteers, SHG members & VSN staff attended the memorable program.
