15^th July 2019. Mrs. Ruchi Narendran visited Shishu Prem Nursery school and inaugurated the annual magazine of the school. she also distributed chocolates among the tiny tots of the school.

30^th July 2019. Vidya Shakti Niyas organized an Inter high school poster competition for the students of rural community for classes 9 to 10. Around 30 students from 8 nearby schools attended the program. Suitable prizes were distributed after the event.

VSN conducted a rice flake distribution program in the villages of Mutuda Munda Sahi, Birikala munda sahi & Panchananpur for pregnant ladies and children below two years to supplement their nutrition. Basic physical checkup was conducted with required advice given with the help of Asha Maa. A total of 38 nos of pregnant ladies & 38 young children benefited through this program.

Vidya Shakti has been conducting several activities for improvement on health & hygiene in the surrounding villages. In this direction, it regularly distributes rice-flake powder & soap-oil in rural schools and Anganwadi centres. Schools covered are Panchananpur UGME school, Panchananpur AWC, Lahanda Mundasahi Primary School, Lahanda Roadsahi AWX, Mutuda Mundasahi AWC, Dandabutu AWC & Kolhahundula Kolhasahi AWCs. During July, 345 students (ST: 321, SC: 7, OBC: 17) received soal-oil in this initiative.

The first health camp of FY 2019-20 in the form of a Bone Density Camp was organised on 29th & 30th of June 2019 at Tata Sponge Dispensary. Dr. Sibani Tripathy, Physiotherapist and Dr. Abhimanyu Madhual, Orthopaedic Surgeon, technicians from AMRI Hospital have conducted the two days camp along with an orientation session in our Emplyee Recreation Center during evening for spreading the awareness talk on Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis where in different aspects of bone, joints & muscles pain, food habits, daily exercise and many more topics were covered. The session was followed by many useful questions.

Each beneficiary has undergone BMD test, doctor’s consultancy and free medication. The facility was also extended beyond community to our employees on 2nd day of the camp.Around 269 patients got treatment in this camp. Needless to mention, both Doctors and their staffs were extremely passionate and highly cooperative towards each patient.

On 11Th June 19’ Vsn Trustee Mrs. Nibedita Mishra, Staffs & Volunteer Visited To ramchandrapur Vermi compost For Overall Survey & Discussed With Members The Of Maa Mangala shg Regarding The Overall Development Of The Project.

On 7th June 19’ Vsn Organized A Rice Crop Training Program For The Farmers Of Village Lahanda, Panchananpur & Ramchandrapur. Total 48 nos of Farmers Were Took Part In That Training Program. Rice Crop Expert Mr. Maheswar Mahanta Conducted The Whole Session For The Farmers. Vsn Trustee Mrs Nibedita Mishra, volunteers & Staffs Were Also Present There. Total $8 48 No Of Farmers Had Gone Under This Training Program. (st 23, Sc 3, Obc 22).

On 20th June 19’ Vsn Organized An Orientation Cum Training Program at L & T Center on Various Types of Govt. Welfare Schemes & Facilities Related to PWDs. CDMO Mrs. Pushpalata Jena & RBSK Dr. Chandan Ku. Barik Provided Scheme Informations To The Presented Trustees Mr. Jagadish Prasad Mishra, Mr. Satya Narayan Nanda, Mrs Nibedita Mishra & To The Staffs, Volunteers Of Vsn. Mr. Atul Sahay & Mr. Shivendra Singh From Noamundi Sabal Project Had Took Part In This Training program.

To Create Nutritional Awareness Among The Ladies Of Surrounding Villages, Vsn Distributed Rice Flake Powder To The Pregnant ladies And to The Children Below Two Years At Village Mutuda Munda Sahi, Rupa sahi, Birikala Munda Sahi, Kaliabeda, Panchananpur, Lahanda Munda Sahi & Road Sahi To Fulfill Their Nutritional Deficiency. After Monitored Their Weights, They Were Given Required Medical Advices With The Help Of Asha maa.Mother Child Care Programmes Were Held On The Date Of 4th,5th, 11th,12th, 18th,19th, In The Month Of June . Total 92 nos of Pregnant Ladies & 83 No Of Children Benifited Through This Program. (st 157,sc 5, Obc 13).
