Teachers Partents Meeting

Bileipada, 21 Aug 2017. Shishu Prem Nursery School organized a Teachers & Parents meeting at VSN training hall. The program was intended to promote better communication between the educators and the parents, while aligning their efforts towards advancement of the child’s education. About 60 parents attended the interactive session where matters about the child’s academic, social & other activities were discussed. Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Snigdha Tripathy, Trustee (VSN), Mrs Saroj Manchanda, Education Coordinator (VSN), Mrs Raji Nagarajan, school teachers & others were present during the event.

Teachers’ Day at Amrapali Dance School

Bileipada, 5th September 2017. Teachers’ Day was observed with great joy at the Employee Recreation Club by Amrapali Dance School. The students made a cultural presentation including songs & dances in honour of their teachers. Teachers were felicitated by the students, expressing their gratitude for their blessings. Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Jolly Patnaik, Trustee (VSN), teachers, students and several other guests were present during the occasion.

Inter School Song Competition

Bileipada, 30th August 2017. With a novel initiative to promote culture in the neighboring villages, Vidya Shakti Niyas organized an Inter School Song Competition recently at the VSN training hall. The event witnessed 12 schools participating with their most talented candidates in front of a jury, who scored them according to various performance criteria. The talented students took away various prizes in many categories. All participants received appreciation prizes. Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Snigdha Mishra, Trustee (VSN), other VSN staff, school guide teachers & other guests were present during the occasion.

Teachers’ Day Celebrations

Bileipada, 5th September 2017. Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great joy at Shishu Prem Nursery School to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Little children dressed in colorful outfits gathered at the VSN training hall and performed in a beautiful cultural presentation of song & dance, showing respect to teachers from Shishu Prem School, Driving School & Sewing School. The teachers were honoured by the students with flowers & greetings. Plantation of flowering & decorative plants was organized during the event. Mr JP Mishra, Administrator (VSN), Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Snigdha Tripathy, Trustee (VSN), other VSN staff & guests were present during the occasion.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Bileipada, 25th August 2017. Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at Shishu Prem Nursery School premises recently. A large number of devotees including school students, teachers, families and guests attended the auspicious occasion. Secretary Ms Rosalie Mishra along with trustees & volunteers attended the event. The puja pandal was beautifully decorated by the organizers, with Ganapati Idol sitting majestically, showering His blessings on every devotee.

VSN Volunteers’ Meeting

Bileipada, 16th August 2017. Vidya Shakti Niyas recently conducted a meeting among its volunteers for better coordination of its activities, at VSN Training Hall. Chairperson Ms Chitrika Patnaik, Secretary Ms Rosalie Mishra along with VSN Trustees, volunteers & staff were present during the occasion. Ms Patnaik appreciated the selfless work done by VSN volunteers and credited them for the success of the charitable organization. The progress of ongoing projects, workflow & other aspects were discussed during the above meeting.

Dengue Awareness at Govt Girls’ School

Basudevpur, 16th August 2017. An awareness camp on Dengue was organized at the Basudevpur Govt Girls’ School by Vidya Shakti Niyas. The symptoms, remedies, cause & prevention was elaborated by Dr Arabinda Panda. Chairperson Ms Chitrika Patnaik, Secretary Ms Rosalie Mishra, Trustees Ms Jolly Pattnaik & Ms Snigdha Tripathy and several VSN volunteers were present during the event. The program benefited more than 370 students attending the program. The school administration thanked Vidya Shakti Niyas for their efforts to curb the menace of Dengue which has claimed many lives in recent past.

Independence Day Celebrations

Bileipada, 15th August 2017. Vidya Shakti joined the Nation in celebration on the Independence Day 2017. The Tricolor was hoisted at Jeet Fly Ash & Shishu Prem Nursery School by Chairperson, Mrs Chitrika Pattnaik, joined by Secretary Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Trustees, staff & volunteers. The Chairperson congratulated JFAP staff on the occasion and made an appeal to keep up their good work going. The children at Shishu Prem School presented a colorful cultural presentation in presence of the guests and parents. Sweets were distributed among all present during the occasion.

Partners in Progress Award from TSIL

Bileipada, 14th August 2017. Vidya Shakti Niyas was honoured with Partners in Progress award from Tata Sponge in a formal ceremony organized at the Employee Recreation Club, Tata Sponge township, Bileipada, Chairperson Mrs Chitrika Pattnaik along with Secretary Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Occupier Mr JP Mishra, Trustees Mrs Jolly Patnaik & Mr Mahesh Rathi received the award from Tata Sponge Managing Director. VSN was chosen for its selfless work in the immediate surroundings through countless initiatives for improvement of living conditions in the community.

Inter-School Debate Competition

Bileipada, 29th July 2017. An Inter-School Debate Competition was organized by Vidya Shakti Niyas at the VSN training hall to encourage the students of nearby villages. Schools from the villages of Anseikala, Chamakpur, Bileipada, Deojhar, Kandara, Basudevpur, Purushottampur, Bhanda, Asanpat, Murusuan & Joda came to participate in the event. Around 33 students accompanied by guide teachers attended the program. The students were judged on various criteria by a panel of judges, comprising Mr Abinash Nayak, Mrs Ms Chitrarani Mishra, Ms Nibedita Nanda. The winners were awarded with various prizes. Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Snigdha Tripathy (Trustee) and other volunteers were present during the event.
