FAREWELL FUNCTION FOR CHAIRPERSON

Bileipada, 4th November’19.  VSN organized a heartfelt farewell to Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik, the Chairperson-cum-Trustee of VSN  4th November, 2019 at lake view recreation club. Guests Mr. Sanjay Pattnaik, former MD, Mr. Partho chatopadhyay, COO, Mr. SK Mishra, CFO, Mr. Somnath, Mr. Tarupalei, Mr. Nirmal etc., & All members of the charitable organization including VSN Chairperson, Secretary, trustees, volunteers, coordinators, members of all VSN units, attended the program. The members shared their memorable experiences with Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik  and wished good health & fortune for her entire family.

Various competitions in Shishu Prem Nursery School

Bileipada, 31st  October’19.  To encourage, develop and nourish the tiny tots, Shishu Prem Nursery School conducts various activities as a part of its regular curriculum. In this direction, activities like Colouring and drawing, song, speech & Recitation competitions were conducted on 22nd, 29th, 30th & 31st of October at the school premises in VSN training hall. The judges had a tough time selecting the winners from the talented contestants.

MEDICAL CAMP IN JFAP

Bileipada, 18th October’19.  As a part of its health initiative, Vidya Shakti Niyas organized free rural medical camps in the villages of in the villages of five panchayats. Visitors include rural women, children, elderly & men folk. A medical camp is conducted in JFAP – Jeet FLY Ash products a unit of Vidya Shakti Niyas on 18th Oct’19.  Around 32 were benefited from the event. Dr Arabinda Panda, Medical Consultant, VSN attended the patients and prescribed medicines. The patients were given free basic medicines during the program.

Inauguration of Sringar Beauty Parlour

Bileipada, 1st September ’19.   VSN has taken a step forward after the introduction of Beautician Training School as Sringar Beauty Centre for rural women.  VSN planned for a beauty parlour in order to fulfil the needs of township of TSLPL and for the locality surrounded. Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary(VSN) & Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustee, (VSN) inaugurated the beauty parlour. VSN volunteers, staff, family members of TSLPL and many guests were present on the occasion.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Bileipada, 2nd September ’19. Lord Ganesha the symbol of wisdom and remover of obstacles. Ganesh Chaturthi as we all know is the festival in the honour of Lord Ganesha was celebrated with grandeur and gaiety at Shishu Prem Nursery School in VSN training hall. The preparations had commenced with various themes in plan, the hall was beautifully decorated and the Pooja pandal was also beautifully decorated by the volunteers with the majestic Ganapathi Idol showering his blessings to all the devotees.  On this auspicious day, the Pooja was dutifully attended by students of SPNS, teachers, VSN volunteers, Staff, Secretary Mrs. Rosalie Mishra along with trustees and many devotees with everyone looking their best in traditional attire. The Pooja displayed the festive spirit of VSN.

Teachers Day Celebrations at VSN Training Hall

5th September ’19, Bileipada. Teachers’ Day   was celebrated with full fervour and joy in VSN training hall to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The students performed special cultural programs like songs, dance etc.,  and also delivered the speeches accentuating the efforts of their teachers thanking them for their patient listening, encouraging and absolute love for their teachers to make them happy and feel special in every way possible.  The teachers were also honoured with flowers and greetings. Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Secretary VSN, along with the other trustees, VSN Volunteers, VSN Staff & guests were present during the occasion.

Teachers Day Celebrations at RBC by Vidya Shakti Niyas

5th September’19, Bileipada. VSN celebrated TEACHERS DAY in Residential Bridge course centre with the students and teachers.  The boys of RBC gave their best performances to their teachers.   VSN honoured the dedicated teachers and support staff. Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Secretary VSN, along with the other trustees, VSN Volunteers, VSN Staff & guests were present during the occasion.

Adolescents Health Education for Girls

11th September’19, Bileipada. VSN conducted an Adolescence Education Programme at VSN training hall.  The objective of the AEP is to provide young people with accurate, age appropriate and culturally relevant information; promote healthy attitudes and develop skills to enable them to respond to real-life situations effectively.  Around 50 girl students from nearby schools participated in this program. The faculty Dr Bhavana Gupta explicated the students. The VSN Secretary Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Mrs.  Ratna Chattopadhyay, the trustees, Volunteers VSN staff and the teachers also took part and witnessed the program.

Child Abuse Awareness Program for Primary School Children

14th September’19, Bileipada. “EDUCATION IS THE KEY IN PREVENTING CHILD ABUSE.  We believe that every child has a right to safe childhood free of violence.” A child abuse program for Primary school children was conducted in VSN training hall for schools in the surrounding village Panchayats.  Nearly 7 schools participated in this program.   58 girls from seven schools took part in this session. The Secretary of VSN Mrs. Rosalie Mishra, Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, the trustee of VSN, the teachers of Shishu Prem School, VSN volunteers and staff were present in this session.

Inter Primary School Fancy Dress Competition

On 17th august ’19, VSN organized an Inter primary school fancy dress competition for the students of rural communities at VSN Training Hall. Students from nearby schools of 5 Gram Panchayats participated in the event. Out of 30 students there were 13 boys and 17girls.Children had come up with a beautiful getup to portrait their theme. Guests present during the occasion were Mrs. Chitrika Pattnaik, Chairperson (VSN), Mrs Rosalie Mishra, Secretary (VSN), Mrs Ratna Chattopadhyay, Trustees (VSN), Mrs Nibedita Mishra, Trustees (VSN) ,Mrs Sujata Swain, Trustees (VSN ),several volunteers & other guests. At the end winners were rewarded followed by lunch.
